The interior of the spacious 137-square-meter apartment in Kyiv combines contrasting materials: cold metal and glass with warm wood and leather elements. The apartment has two bedrooms, a living-dining room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms.

General concept

The style that the team started from was modern minimalism, which was complemented by classic details. The color scheme is restrained, so the interior has a calming effect on people.

The interior is dominated by wood. This material was used for the floor, covered with oak parquet, as well as for the panels on the walls and furniture.

Entrance group

The entrance group is represented by a spacious hall with poufs in the middle. To the left of the entrance is a custom-made built-in wardrobe with sliding facades and leatherette finish. Inside, in addition to storage shelves, the wardrobe hides a smart home system.

The space is visually expanded by a mirror, which seems to be built into the wall with the help of “invisible” fasteners. To install it, a small recess was previously knocked out in the wall around the perimeter of the mirror and glued to the protruding part, adding LED lighting.

Living-dining area

The contrast of materials, based on the interaction of wood, metal and glass, can be seen in the decorative and frame elements of the furniture, as well as in the wall and floor finishes.

The dining area is visually separated from the living room by a portal decorated with MDF panels similar in shade to oak parquet.

The center of the composition in the living room is a spacious sofa made of light textiles by the Italian manufacturer Minotti. It is complemented by two Archibald leather armchairs in warm terracotta color by Poltrona Frau.

The central wall is reserved for a system of storage shelves. The plasma is located in the center. There is a bio fireplace in a special niche right below it. Having learned that the customer collects vinyl records, the project authors reinforced the shelves with a metal frame.

Kitchen

In the kitchen, the emphasis is on textures. The dominant colors are warm beige and graphite gray. Combined with the natural light that comes in through the transparent balcony doors, the space visually seems larger and lighter.

The main surface is light stone, which is used to cover the island and continue from the countertop to the apron.

There are several seats behind the island. The choice fell on DejaVu bar stools with upholstered seats with Gio Pagani textile upholstery. And opposite, in the corner, there is a hanging display case with interior lighting.

Master bedroom

Right at the entrance to the master bedroom, there is a wardrobe with presence sensors. The door system is from the Italian factory Rimadesio.

In the center of the room, along the wall, there is a B&B Italia bed with a light headboard. Bedside tables are placed on both sides. For the men's place, we chose a more laconic and strict one with a glass surface of the correct geometric shape. The bedside table for the female half is more refined and elegant - round in shape with a corrugated base. The brass surfaces of the pendant lamps stand out against the wall with leather-like panels and terracotta stitched lines.

A work area and a seating area opposite the window were also arranged along the wall.

The transition to the main bathroom is a flush-mounted door decorated with the same panels as the wall.

Bathroom

Large-format porcelain stoneware slabs 3.5 * 1.5 m in white marble with black veins by Ariostea were used for the walls, floor and partially for the ceiling. The selected plumbing and accessories are from Italian manufacturers Gessi and Antonio Lupi.
