Mountain Trees Interior 1
A bungalow in the Carpathians: a contemporary interpretation of Ukrainian authenticity
This is the interior of a single-occupancy bungalow from the Mountain Trees Bungalows project, which includes two types of residences: one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. But this project goes far beyond architecture. It’s about atmosphere. About a subtle connection to one’s roots, to nature, to the kind of silence that speaks louder than words.
Ornament as a whisper of meaning
We combined contemporary minimalism with gentle echoes of Ukrainian authenticity — not in a literal or decorative way, but through textures, silhouettes, and tonal depth. Inspired by traditional ornaments, we reinterpreted them to embed quiet meaning into the space — deeply and delicately.
This interior doesn’t shout — it whispers. It invites reflection and speaks in between the lines.
Interior
The design is reserved, tactile, and meticulously composed. Silence reigns here, alongside the warmth of wood and the breath of natural materials like straw and wool.
Each piece has its own character. The nightstands resemble cross-sections of ancient tree trunks. The bed is woven, raw, honest. The rugs are handmade. And the panoramic windows do more than bring in light — they open up the world. You don’t just live near nature. You live within it.
Zoning
The single-occupancy bungalow features an open-plan kitchen–living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Inside, there’s a walk-in shower; outside, an open-air summer shower allows for a deeper connection to nature and a profound sense of freedom.
