Lviv, Reframed
General concept
This apartment was designed for a bachelor and set within a historic Lviv building. The existing architecture defined the atmosphere from the start — high ceilings, classical proportions, ornate moldings, and a quiet sense of urban heritage.
Rather than competing with it, we reinterpreted this context through a more minimal, contemporary lens — creating a space that feels personal, restrained, and timeless.
Kitchen–living area
The main living space is built on contrast and balance — between heritage architecture and contemporary simplicity. Soft, textured surfaces are paired with deep wood tones, dark furniture, and diffused lighting. The result is a composed, cohesive interior that feels calm yet expressive.
Entrance hall
The entrance sets the tone for the entire apartment. Light, textured walls are contrasted with dark parquet and rich wood finishes. The original ceiling moldings were carefully preserved, while a large-scale abstract artwork introduces a contemporary focal point.
Bedroom
The bedroom continues the dialogue between past and present. Historic details remain untouched, while the palette is reduced to warm neutrals and deep wood accents. This restraint creates a quiet, grounded atmosphere — a space designed for rest and clarity.
